Some brushes with crime are brief enough to improve one’s résumé.
Magnolia, a tuxedo kitten awaiting adoption in Maryland, was stolen from her enclosure in July by a man who allegedly carried her into a nearby bank, handed her to an employee, and then attempted to rob the place.
The robbery failed. The man was arrested. Magnolia was recovered safely in the manager’s office, where she had apparently spent the episode behaving rather more responsibly than anyone else involved.
There is now a happier epilogue: Magnolia has been adopted, lives with another kitten, and reportedly spends her days with a cat tree, toys, and chicken-flavored treats.
She has retired from banking.
