Some landmarks are admired. Others are apparently mistaken for departure gates.
Seattle police say two men bought tickets to the Space Needle on Friday evening, entered a restroom and emerged wearing helmets. They then climbed over the observation deck’s glass wall and parachuted from the 605-foot structure before disappearing into the city below.
The return journey, one assumes, will be conducted at ground level—and with paperwork.
