Some dinner parties are remembered for the conversation. This one survived a hundred million years.

In Queensland, scientists examined a fossil affectionately named B.O.B.—Bag of Bones—and discovered an ichthyosaur had eaten fish, squid-like prey and part of a flying pterosaur. Bite damage suggests the ichthyosaur was then itself partly consumed or scavenged by a much larger pliosaur.

Three courses. One fossil. Absolutely no one left a review.
