Near Ryahovo, Bulgaria, the drought-stricken Danube receded far enough to reveal what experts believe are the lower jaw, tusks and rib of an ancient mammoth. Museum specialists will now retrieve the remains and determine exactly what—or how old—the river has been keeping.
